Dr. Varun Kumar Pala
Dr. Varun Kumar Pala is a neurologist with specialized training in stroke and vascular Neurology. Dr. Pala was born and raised in India. He obtained his medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India, a prestigious institution in India. Dr. Pala later completed four years of Neurology residency at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, followed by a fellowship in vascular and stroke neurology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Dr. Pala spent time teaching medical students during his residency and has received the Excellence in Teaching Award for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019). He also published seevral manuscripts and presented posters at the American Stroke/Heart Association(ASA/AHA) and American Academy of Neurology(AAN) meetings.
Dr. Pala has specific professional interest in treating patients with stroke and other vascular neurological disorders. Dr. Pala is a strong believer in primary and secondary stroke prevention.
Dr. Pala is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Stroke Association.
